kiloready is built for local-first image processing. Your files stay on your device while you use the app. In most cases no data leaves your browser.
What we process
Image conversion, compression, and resizing are executed in your browser with client-side code. We do not upload your images to kiloready servers.
HEIC / HEIF server-side conversion
iPhone and some other mobile devices save photos in HEIC/HEIF format. Most browsers can decode HEIC natively. When your browser cannot decode a HEIC file, kiloready automatically sends that file to our conversion server so you can still export it as JPEG or PNG.
The conversion happens entirely in memory on the server — no file is ever written to disk. The bytes are permanently discarded the moment the converted image is returned to your browser. No HEIC content is logged, stored, or shared with third parties.
Data we may receive
If you contact us through GitHub issues, we receive the information you include in that report. We use that information only to respond, troubleshoot, and improve the product.
Third-party services
The site is served over standard web infrastructure. Those providers can process basic request logs (for example IP address, browser, and timestamp) needed to operate and secure the service.
